Pixies Team Skating

The SQSA Parade Pixies Team is a fun and supportive introduction to performance skating for young skaters ages 5–11 who are skating independently and progressing from strong Pre-Alpha through Freestyle 2.

Designed to build on skills learned in Learn to Skate, the Pixies program introduces choreography, skating to music, and teamwork in a positive, encouraging environment. Skaters gain confidence while learning how to perform as part of a group, collaborate with peers.

Throughout the season, the team works together to learn and refine a four minute choreographed program set to music. Skaters will have the opportunity to perform on an exhibition and Spring Ice Show, creating memorable experiences both on and off the ice. Costumes and program elements are provided, and skaters from other clubs or Learn to Skate programs are welcome to join.

Pixies Competitive Skating Team 2026–27

The Pixies Team is a great next step for skaters who are ready to grow their skills, build friendships, and experience the excitement of performing as part of a team.

The team will learn and train a 4-minute program set to music. Costumes that fit the theme will be provided, and the program will be performed at our holiday exhibition, our home competition and Spring Ice Show.

There is a Fall session and a Winter session of 10 weeks each. Skaters must commit to both sessions in order to join the team. Two payments are required: a Fall 2026 payment due at registration and a Winter 2027 payment due before Winter session begins in January.

Fees include: ice time, coaching, choreography, costumes, props, entry and ice show registration fee for the Pixies number. There are no refunds if your skater decides to drop out.

Skaters are also required to register for a Learn to Skate class at their current level either Tuesday or Saturday, or be enrolled in private lessons with a coach.
