New to Skating?
(This is your on-ramp)
Every great hockey player starts the same way — by learning to skate. Our Learn to Skate classes teach the fundamentals your child needs before stepping onto an organized hockey team, in a fun, structured, coach-led environment.
Look for these levels when registering:
- TOTS 1 & TOTS 2: Ages 3–5 (or almost 3). Beginners learning how to stand, march, and glide.
- PRE ALPHA: Ages 6–12. Basics of forward and backward skating, stops, curves, and turns.
Not sure which level fits? Choose the closest match when you register — our coaches will confirm placement on the first day.
For Current Hockey Players
(Mini-Mite & Mite)
Strong skating is the foundation of strong hockey. Our Learn to Skate classes build exactly the skills your player needs on the ice — and they train alongside other kids in a structured, coach-led environment.
Look for these levels when registering:
- ALPHA: Forward stroking with speed and power, crossovers (both directions), one-foot snowplow stop
- BETA: Backward stroking, backward crossovers, T-stops (both directions)
- GAMMA: Forward outside 3-turns, mohawks (forward inside open), hockey stop
Not sure which level fits? Choose the closest match when you register — our coaches will confirm placement on the first day.
